1 Hour Cruise

OUR FAMOUS 1 HOUR CANAL CRUISE

We depart from the Mooloolaba Wharf passenger dock, right behind Sea Life.

A colourful and very informative live commentary is provided throughout the cruise so you will not only see the sights, but hear about them as well. Our regular 1 hour cruises depart at 11am, 1pm, and 2.30pm.

We cruise past the Wharf complex & Marina towards Mooloolah Island.

On departure we cruise past the Wharf complex and Marina towards Mooloolah Island – a man-made island boasting some of Mooloolaba’s most desirable mansions and award winning homes.

We continue on past Minyama Island where you will hear all about its famous residents, celebrities and sports stars, before entering the Kawana Canal system and learning the history of the canal development – from useless swamp land, into some of Queensland’s most expensive real estate.

Feeding our local resident Pelicans.

Pelican numbers vary throughout the year, depending on eco factors and breeding season. They are wild animals, but they know “The Mudjimba” and if willing, they will approach us, and we can feed them off the side of the boat. It’s a great photo opportunity, so have your camera ready!

It’s then out to the river heads where we turn the boat around to take in the breathtaking views of the coastline from Mooloolaba Beach right up to Noosa Heads, before we head back through the river where we pass the pilot boats used by the Brisbane pilotage service, and observe the wild Osprey Eagles’ nest.

On our way back to the Wharf we pass the commercial fishing boats – home to the largest long line fishing fleet in Australia, and finish off the cruise passing the Mooloolaba Marina and Yacht Club.

Our arrival back at the Wharf.

On our arrival back at the wharf, we feed the fish that only come out for us. This unique experience is just one of the reasons a cruise on the M.V. Mudjimba is one of the most popular things to do in Mooloolaba.
